About Me
Hi, I'm Artiom Neznanov, freediving instructor based in Haugesund, Norway, where I've made my home for the past 14 years. Originally from Lithuania, I bring a multicultural perspective to my teaching, speaking five languages fluently: English, Lithuanian, Russian, Polish, and Norwegian.
My freediving journey began in 2020 with humble beginnings in a local lake. Armed with just a triathlon wetsuit and boundless curiosity, I took my first dives to 8 meters, navigating through challenging conditions with almost zero visibility and strong thermoclines. This initial experience sparked a deep passion that led me to Dahab, the world-renowned "mecca of freediving," where I explored iconic sites like the Lighthouse and the legendary Blue Hole.
In 2025, I took a significant step in my professional development by completing a comprehensive 3-week AIDA instructor course in Sharm el Sheikh under the guidance of Loïc Vuillemin, also known as The Deepest Monk. This intensive training equipped me with the expertise to teach freediving with a focus on safety, calmness, and deep respect for each individual's unique journey underwater.
